When we stay in Williams Lake, we stay at the Stampede Campground. It’s handy for us to visit friends in family while we’re in town.
It’s a clean, friendly, fairly quiet place with a lot of history. It offers tenting through pull through units for the 40 footers. the grounds are clean as is the washrooms. The managers are very friendly and accommodating. We had our own reserved parking stall.
The Stampede hosts the Mountain Race. Years ago the race came from the top of Fox Mountain. Now, it still comes down a fair slope but no longer the mountain.
